Contractor responsible for providing support for the National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. Redesigned system architecture and code base of existing dynamic survey creation and collection tool poised to become the standard for CDC survey management. Created functional requirements and coded to specification an application used for Credit Union compliance with reporting standards of National (State By State) Data Match service - PRWORA Act of 1996. Using the Financial Data Match Specifications Handbook (10//2004) created C# application for creating encrypted data files which are delivered to the Credit Union’s respective State receiving agency after reconciliation with the software used for member account management.

Maintained existing Credit Union VB 6.0 application debugging deployed solutions. Upgrade VB 6.0 application with .NET C# and VB.NET solutions.

Development of on-line community with IIS 5.0 and Windows 2000, Site Sever Commerce edition 3.0 and other Microsoft DNA Technologies. Sold job board space to local IT recruiting firms.

Updated company web portal. Web portal is used for inter-company product ordering process. Website used IIS 5 and connected to an Oracle 8 database system running on UNIX system.

Designed and coded CRM system for Call Center. I also integrated the company’s proprietary ERP system with the CRM system. The Call Center application used SQL Server 7.0 for the backend and Visual Basic for the GUI (Graphical User Interface). The application is used for tracking appliance service calls and appointments for technicians and customers.

Designed and created COM objects for use with FileNET document management system to aide in the management of internal company correspondence and intranet information dissemination. 

 

Created Work Breakdown Structure charts for scheduling task amongst development team. Interviewed Business Users and Subject Matter Experts. Organized and translated technical information into clear concise documentation for ISO requirements.

Center for Disease Control - CDC 

Sr. Systems Analyst - Consultant 

Design the system; wrote the specification; created the portal. 

 

Using XML Portal Server, a Sequoia Software product, created proof of concept system for the CDC. The web portal allows users to query laboratory test results. Specimen XML data is sent to the portal using Smart summary features of XPS the data was then aggregated with test result XML data. 

 

Gathered user requirements and created specifications for a second system to be developed by development team.

Caterpillar 

Consultant 

Used Tango 3.5 and Tango 2000 to develop GUI for web application and Tango 2000 to interact with COM components created using VB. 

 

Responsible for the creation of Web Based UI, Business objects and Data objects for automated printing process. The application captures required data elements from the user and creates data files used for the automated process. The data files are read by the Mac using Apple script and the document is created using Quark Express. The Quark file is then converted to PDF. 

Created Web Based Application used for the creation of XML based export files. The files are sent to translators and are translated to different foreign languages. The files are returned and imported back into the database. The creation of the XML files is an automated process using a proprietary DTD and XML format. 

 

The COM data objects created all use a native connection to an Oracle8i database using Oracle’s in process server component.

Software Engineer 

Member of development team assigned to upgrade reporting applications for Quest Telecommunications. Re-designed forms using Crystal Reports 6.0. Reports were created dynamically using coded SQL statements and Report parameters. 

 

Member of development team assigned to re-design Tax related data application for Ernst & Young. Designed and coded GUI for applications. The project consists of over 150 forms and was distributed to Ernst & Young's global customer base. 

 

Created Database structures, corresponding code and technical specifications for project. Created and implemented reusable COM components. Designed GUI/Database communication layer (field validation, data type conversion, etc.). Documented application related information for client use. Organized development efforts between other developers and technical writing staff. Prepared progress reports for Director of Systems Development.

Designed and implemented data service layer for E-commerce site. One function of the site is as a reseller of LCI long distance services. Coded data service layer and infrastructure responsible for the processing and transference of LCI data files. 

 

Created user-interfaces for web-browser. Coded stored triggers and procedures involved in the analysis and logging of user input. Debugged legacy triggers and procedures. Utilized PL/SQL and HTML. Responsible for the installation and configuration of Windows NT server, Windows NT workstation, Oracle 7, and Oracle Web Application server. 

 

Ported MS SQL Server databases from Windows NT test server to a Windows NT main server. Testing system changes for proper operation.
